Enhance Your Lips
Our lips are one of the most vulnerable areas for ageing, as the skin is very thin. Don’t let ageing skin ruin your beautiful smile.
Beautiful lips and a silky, smooth natural looking smile that lasts long after your lipstick is gone.
The skin on your lips is constantly moisturised from within by hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar. However, the skin loses hyaluronic acid over time, and lines begin to appear around the mouth
The loss of hyaluronic acid leads to the appearance of wrinkles and the loss of fullness to our lips. As our lips become thinner, they lose volume and lack definition. We can develop vertical, or “marionette”, lines around the mouth, which can form at the corners going down to the chin or we can even develop a droop to the corners of the mouth, giving your lips a sad appearance.
Restylane®Silk has recently been approved for release in the United States! It’s the first and only FDA-approved product specifically designed for subtle lip enhancement and the smoothing of wrinkles and lines around the mouth. Restylane®Silk is a unique formulation of hyaluronic acid that helps maintain lip fullness.
Juvéderm® subtly reshapes and redefines lips. It is a smooth gel that is injected by your provider, using an ultra-fine needle. It has been specifically developed as a smooth gel to give a soft, natural feel. The gel fills in lip lines and wrinkles while the hyaluronic acid within attracts and retains moisture, so results can last up to a year.
Which Filler to Use?
uvéderm® and Restylane®Silk are both ideal for men or women who want to boost their appearance. These products are used by women who want fuller lips. Both fillers feature hyaluronic acid, a complex sugar organically present in all living cells. In particular, hyaluronic acid exists in the cells that are part of your skins’ complex matrix of connective tissues. It exists right alongside of collagen, which makes your face look full, and elastin, which keeps your skin elastic, but hyaluronic acid has an even more important role – it maintains the water in your skin.
Regardless of which filler you use, when you add more hyaluronic acid to your skin, it attracts water, and it allows your skin to hold more moisture. This in turn makes your skin look moisturized and vital. In both products, the hyaluronic acid is completely biodegradable and proven to work with human cells. Because it is an all-natural ingredient, there is little to no risk of allergic reaction, and because the hyaluronic acid is synthesized from bacteria rather than taken from an animal source, it can be used by vegans. In spite of being very similar, these two fillers feature different textures. Please remember each patient is different and individual results may vary.
