What is recovery like after Kybella® injections?
The recovery from Kybella® is relatively painless. Many patients report some discomfort immediately after the treatment, but it only lasts about 10 minutes. Patients experience tenderness and/or numbness to the area after the treatment. We tell everyone interested in Kybella® to plan for some lingering swelling—it's more significant in the first few days and remains minimal over the next few weeks.
Is Kybella® permanent?
Yes, Kybella® is permanent! Most patients see their ideal results after a series of 3–6 treatments spaced about 6 weeks apart). Once you reach your desired results, the fat is permanently removed. Once you're in your early 20s your body stops producing new fat cells so everything flushed out by Kybella® is gone forever! You'll want to continue with a healthy lifestyle, as the remaining fat cells can still grow with weight gain.
What areas is Kybella® approved to treat?
