We do everything we can to ensure patients are comfortable during their HALO™ laser facial. A topical numbing cream blocks most of the sensation and integrated cooling eases heat buildup from the laser energy. For patients concerned about pain, we recommend taking ibuprofen or acetaminophen and possibly an anxiolytic, such as Ativan, an hour before the procedure—though it is important to know if you take Ativan you will need a driver to take you home after your treatment.
